Introduction to Agriculture Programme

Through practical and theoretical learning for unemployed citizens to basic organic farming practices enable them:

A) Lifelong learning by developing new knowledge and skills. 
B) Modernization of the primary production sector. 
C) Social integration and collective work.
D) Contact with the earth and its products.
E) The cultivation of a new professional career.
F) Contribute to the recovery of the Greek countryside.

To unemployed citizens who decided to move to the province and to take care of the land and its products.

2013 - 2014

The course lasted for nine weeks. It was divided into 75% field exercise and 25% theory.

470 unemployed citizens attended the program. Half of them relocated and started their own business in the Greek province, while almost all engaged in small-scale farming on their balcony or terrace.
