"Coloring zebra crosses"

.The aim of this specific initiative was to give a happy image to school reading rooms, thus encouraging students to use them. At the same time, the colored crossings arouse the interest of drivers so that they reduce speed and intensify their attention.

In addition, this action contributed to the promotion of volunteerism and the different use of the streets, even for an afternoon, as they were closed to cars and thus young and old could move more freely on the road surface either on foot or on bicycles.

The action, in the implementation phase, involved all participants: parents, children, traffic department who took part in the action. In the second phase, it was addressed mainly to school students and all passing drivers.

The action "Color crossings" took place in one day and more specifically on September 21, 2020.

.The action took place as part of the European Mobility Week 2020 and was based on the idea of changing the use of the road even for an afternoon. The Traffic Department and the parents and guardians' associations were happy to participate in the project and the result had a very big impact nationwide.
