Placing man at the center of all business activity, Aldemar Resorts was the first business of the tourism industry in Greece to implement a Corporate Social Responsibility program. In 1997, Aldemar Resorts established the 1st Blood Bank for the employees of the company and their first degree relatives.
Aldemar Resorts Blood Bank organizes donations on an annual basis, in cooperation with “Venizelio”General Hospital of Crete, “Andreas Papandreou” Amaliada hospital in Pyrgos and the “Andreas Papandreou” hospital in Rhodes.
Twice a year, the administrative staff as well as the employees of all the hotel’s departments participate in the Voluntary Blood Donation, conveying the message of humanity and solidarity. Each year, a significant quantity of blood is collected by the common Blood Bank of the Group, which on many occasions, has proved invaluable.
Aldemar Resorts constantly organizes, throughout the whole year, actions aiming to support people or special organizations who need our help by offering cash, products or services. So that year Aldemar Resorts donated a big quantities of goods to NGOs, public services and institutions (schools and universities) and other organizations.
A greater benefit (excluding that of giving life and health back to those who need it), is that we manage to strengthen the existing relationships among our company’s employees and the society and form relationships that last in time. We aim to establish an example to be followed by other companies.
