The Non- Governmental Organization, Equal Society, was established in February 2010 with actions “Against Social Exclusion, Unemployment and Poverty”. Its principal objective is to raise awareness and inform citizens for the rights of equality and the non-discrimination in all areas of social life.

Goal of Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises is on one side the briefing of citizens on the available places of working and the programs that exist on Ionian Islands, covering by this way the void and the need that exists in Greece in order to reinforce and promote in the employment of those that are affected by unemployment, on the other hand the support of unemployeds by creating for them CV and providing them advisory.
The action concerns also in the benefit of advisory support in unemployeds, students, individuals that belong in corruptible socially teams in the Region of Ionian Islands. Finally, via the Structure the citizens have the occasion to be informed for insurance and labor issues, as well as social entrepreneurship and training programs.
Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises targeted at unemployed, vulnerable groups and generally all citizens of the Ionian Islands who wish to find a job or to learn about programs that occasionally implemented.

Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises is an initiative of Equal Society, that citizens residing in the Ionian Islands can find concentrated jobs that exist on print and web press of Ionian islands in order to have easier access to job , training programs , social programs and programs relating to the " business " that occasionally exist.
According to current data, the need for a stable job, occurs more imperative than ever and the biggest problem is logged in the Greek region is the lack of information with obvious results in the lack of equal opportunities. So in our region many citizens do not find work either because they believe that there are no jobs and therefore do not seek, or because when there is the information about vacancies never reach them. It is also significant that other fellow citizens are entitled to certain benefits, they completely ignore what they should do to receive them.
It is characteristic that unemployment on Ionian Islands reaches 26% and particular in the new -age of 25-34 reaches the high rate of 37 %!
So, through the Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises citizens can be informed about current labor and insurance issues for business plans and training programs occasionally run. Also can receive important and essential information and advices from specialized staff for job interviews, job search techniques, on how to complete their tax returns, etc.
Equal Society, having gained experience and expertise in labor issues, attaches great importance to creating a more inclusive society which offers equal opportunities to all.
The “Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises” is an action that is activated in the Region of Ionian Islands and specifically Corfu, Lefkada , Kefalonia and Zakynthos, established action Corfu.
Factor on success of the action “Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises”, is cooperation. Firstly of public and private entities, which either confirm the jobs and programs or inform us about them, other local media that inform about the Structure. Thus, the information diffusion becomes much easier.
Also there is a weekly collaboration with public and private entities that wish to promote the Structure to the public as Labor Corfu Center , Office of Social Employment and Volunteer Care, OKANA, Social General Detention Corfu Service, SCS and other voluntary bodies active Ionian Islands.
The inclusion and involvement of workers in action “Information Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises” is an important part of the overall achievement of goals.
The plan of action is a result of individual operations separated in three stages to final implementation. The first stage involved two employees who have the responsibility of collecting informations. In the second stage, two more employees are responsible for verification of the information and its recording in the table and finally on the last stage two employees are responsible for the promotion of the structure, its publication and communicate with local media and institutions.
Benefits of the Organization are multiple and concern the broader view of the organization. Also there is an effort on increasing the number of unemployed who receive the Structure of Unemployeds and Enterprises information about programs and jobs, and the Enterprise informing about vacancies.
