Objective Action

The adoption of responsible business practices is a priority for WIND, integrated into the broader strategy, part of her DNA. 

 

Target Audience

The action involved 250 residents of the island. The semiotics had appeal to all Greeks.

Description

The operation of the new 4G network prompted the company to go one step further, "adopting"  in a telecommunications maner the island, through a donation to all the inhabitants of Anafi, a gift that reflects the true essence of Corporate Responsibility, having as main objective to highlight the value of equal access of all Greeks to communication. They offered free communication services for one year and handsets to all residents, while students of Anafi, equipped with laptops and free Mobile Internet use to exploit the possibilities of 4G for education and entertainment. Respectively, offered modern technological equipment in schools of Anafi, as well and an oxygen concentrator to the local clinic.

Impact on Society

The donation was confirmed that the improvement of customer experience is a point of differentiation, and strategic priority of WIND. 

Excerpt from the "thank you letter" Mayor of the island of Anafi, Mr. Iakovos Roussos: "... We did feel that in your company even a geographical dot as shown Anafi map for you a sign with special communication needs, which generously donated. Our residents for most are negligible and are indifferent to the unprofitable line of barren island. but not for the WIND and the people, who have embraced us, listened to us and met all our requests .. ".

There was also a dramatic increase both of data traffic (Mobile Data), and voice (Voice Calls) by users of the Network of WIND. Indicative, compared to August 2015, a year after, is the number of voice calls increased by 160% and the traffic volume Network data, noted hundredfold increase surpassing in volume the 600 GB. Of course this also contributed to the use of the network by the visitors - tourists in the summer period.
