The Wish Star Program is an educational program that takes place in all Greek schools. It is a paper star which helps children's wishes to be adopted, who suffer from life threatening threatening diseases.
Goals
The Wish Star Program aims to activate all people, students, teachers, companies and organizations in order to enforce our mission via a 2 euro donatuon and the Wish Star. The Wish Star Program first started in Greece 18 years ago.
The Wish Star Program is being actually activated from September to December in Greece. We prepare our program during all year and the program exists since 1998.
Make-A-Wish Greece grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. When the dream of a child, battling a life threatening illness is granted, their power and strength becomes so great that they put up an even greater fight against their illness, which is a battle for life it self.
Through the donations of the Wish Star program and the permission that has been given to Make-A-Wish Greece by the Ministry of Education, by simply donating 2 euro for a Wish Star, you receive a paper star, which in turn becomes a star of love, thus making the life of a sick kid, full of light and hope! A lesson about how precious life is for all our children, a lesson learnt by children who are healthy as to how they can offer to those children. Many companies participate every year in our program.
