DODONI S.A. – AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY GALAKTOS EPIRO

DODONI supports vulnerable populations during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

DODONI, the leading dairy industry of Epirus, sought to protect vulnerable and financially vulnerable populations from the spread of COVID-19 as part of its continuing social initiative “The Taste of Good.” In order to give efficient assistance to the aforementioned social groups, DODONI ensured their secure access to essential services, limiting public mobility that spreads the coronavirus and putting the slogan “We Stay Home” into practice.

For many years, the company has supported volunteer and social activities, as well as cultural institutions in the fields of education, research, and innovation, and has always been close to those in need, providing 100% quality Greek products with high nutritional value made from 100% Greek fresh milk.

DODONI is one of the largest companies in the Epirus area, and it actively supports society at large and the local community, among other things, via social and volunteer acts and projects.

DODONI has established the ongoing social program “The Taste of Good” to support these particular volunteer acts and projects. “The Taste of Good” provides practical assistance to persons and groups in need.

The global community was greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DODONI was on the ground during the pandemic's onset, working promptly and supporting charitable efforts to aid socially disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. At the same time, the company aided the University Hospital of Ioannina in meeting nursing demand by supplying and donating necessary medical supplies.

Since the initial wave of the epidemic, the company has actively supported the "We Stay Home" campaign and has provided significant assistance where there was a true need as part of its share of responsibility for preventing the virus's spread. DODONI, in collaboration with the Epirus Regional Administration, the region's municipalities, and Epirus' metropolises, committed to providing weekly baskets with its dairy products to hundreds of vulnerable and financially vulnerable people so that they can remain healthy and safe in their homes.

It's also noteworthy that at the same time period, the firm chose to help by donating a huge number of health-related supplies to the University Hospital of Ioannina in order to assist the vital work of the medical and nursing staff.

DODONI's practical assistance did not end there; the company continued unabated to aid in the battle against the coronavirus, remaining by the citizens' side with responsible actions and providing support throughout this challenging time.

Namely, in April, the company stood by more than 100 large families supported by the Municipality of Athens' Center for Reception and Solidarity (K.Y.A.D.A.) in order to meet their dairy product consumption needs. More precisely, DODONI with the aid of K.Y.A.D.A., documented the needs of 136 households, and then provided them every day and for a month with over 1 ton of high quality dairy products with the exceptional quality that characterizes DODONI goods through the social grocery of the Municipality of Athens.
