Creating / Enhancing a School Library and Art Lab in Preschools and Elementary Schools. Maximum number of accepted entries 180 in total for the 2 years.

Public and Private Kindergartens & Primary Schools & Parents & Guardians Associations

Program Started September 2018, Program Ends June 2020.

Pelikan has purchased 700 new literature books and collected 400 used books in good condition, donating painting materials (markers, wood paints, brushes, watercolors) as well as sending them to schools participating in the program.

In these schools there is the possibility of presenting a free of charge art program that connects literacy to art (Reading '' Daedalus and Icarus' '(Phil Mandilaras) analysis of the emotions of the heroes, linking the text to the work of Henri Matisse' Icarus', reproduction of the work using the mixed collage method, degradation and re-composition of the artist's work.

For the collection of 400 used books - Museum of Education (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) As part of a wider collaboration in the showroom  of the museum, a specific program of visits was created for this purpose replacing  the cost of the entrance fee for the Museum with the offer of  a used book in good condition.

The action has been completed in 34 schools and will be completed by the end of October in the remaining aforementioned, with new entries expected.

Initiating a relationship with the school community, better responding to teachers' requests, initiating communicating with Parents and Guardians Associations. Better communication in order to inform teachers about the company's products and activities.

The profile of the company as a Corporate Responsible Citizen is strengthened, while at the same time daily contact with schools and the disclosure of their needs leads to new partnerships and plans for the next CSR step.
