Participation in the Action "Primary schools Champions in Recycling" of the Ministry of Environment.

Informing students and teachers about the recycling of materials and the experiential training of instructors and trainees on the correct practices of material recycling.

Mainly to the students of the Primary Schools of Attica, since this Action is a pilot one.

The Action starts on May 9, 2022

The Directorate of the General Secretariat of Waste Management of the MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT together with the General Secretariat of Coordination of Waste Management contacted our company, informing us about the pilot recycling action they were planning in 17 Primary schools in the Prefecture of Attica. We immediately responded asking for details of the Action.

What they requested from our company were paper scraps from the production process, clean, safe and in good condition to be used as experiential recycling material to be able to educate elementary school children about the meaning and function of recycling.

In speaking with our Production Manager, I was informed that we can allocate paper from the rolls of paper that come into production to be processed on the machines and the first 120 meters of paper that are discarded until the machine lays down. We give these scraps of paper (clean paper) for recycling. What we can do is collect them in boxes and make them available for your pilot recycling action for the 17 Primary Schools of Attica.

The Pathagya department collected, cut and packaged the paper left over from the production process.

Pilot Action in 17 units of Primary Schools in Attica.

The result of the action was to understand and educate the elementary school children about the necessity of recycling as well as its benefits. In addition, the students had the opportunity to experience the experience of recycling and their participation in the experiential experience of waste separation and education for the recycling of every age.

the result is twofold. On the one hand, the students were educated about what materials are recycled and what are not, and on the other hand, the students themselves will become the ambassadors of recycling in their family and its environment and then throughout the local community.
