Primary School Children

8 months of a school year

"Children's University" is a series of innovative educational presentations and workshops for students of Primary Education by university-level lecturers on various subjects of science and art to acquire knowledge and highlight special skills of students and enhance literacy. It includes a cycle of scientific presentations and workshops appropriately adapted to the age level of the participants without, however, altering their scientific dimension.

The operation of the "Children's University" is supported, without financial support, by the Directorate of Primary Education of Kavala and the Union of Associations of Parents & Guardians of the Schools of the Municipality of Kavala as well as the Swedish Institute of Athens.

Points of education and culture, outdoor activities (museums, cultural centers, environmental paths)

2014-2015: 212 children with participation in four (4) thematic units.

• 2015-2016: 229 children with participation in four (4) thematic units.

• 2016-2017: 500 children with participation in eight (8) thematic units.

• 2017-2018: 958 children with participation in eight (8) thematic sections, one (1) cultural excursion to the studios of ERT3 in Thessaloniki.

• 2018-2019: 1026 children with participation in seven (7) thematic sections and one (1) photography workshop.

Demophelia, a non-profit municipal enterprise of Kavala, returns the benefits to the citizens of Kavala.

The participation price for each action is €2.00 and there is no profit for the Company, as can be seen in the following image
