The Motor Oil Group analyzes the market trend and the evolving needs of customers and designs the gas stations of the future for the companies Avin and Coral (Shell) with criteria of sustainable development and climate change. Motor Oil is redefining gas stations and offering consumers a unique travel experience while creating a sustainable future.

The gas station of the future supports the development of sustainable cities and is designed with this in mind

For this innovation, MOTOR OIL Group was among the winners of the international award "FutureEdge50" 2021 for the project "Designing the Gas Station of the Future"

The Award:


The FutureEdge 50 awards recognize organizations pushing the edge with new technologies to advance their business for the future. It recognizes not only established initiatives driving business success, but also early-stage projects pursued for their watershed potential. These initiatives may be in R&D, proof of concept or pilot phases. With this, the FutureEdge 50 awards aim to recognize the most cutting-edge trials and applications of emerging technologies – and the innovative cultures enabling them.


The project:


The Station of the Future, envisions our sites to transform to high frequency & hyper convenient destination points aiming to "Making Life's Journeys Better" by delivering a unique customer experience and creating a more sustainable tomorrow.
Aiming at real time customer interactions with multiple touchpoints and rich customer journeys alternating from physical to digital, Motor Oil Hellas promises to change the way its customers think of a gas station.

In all the network of Avin and Coral (Shell) gas stations

1. Creation of a multi-energy product portfolio (EV, CNG, Biofuels, Hydrogen, other e-fuels etc)

2. Front yard and store design for easy and fast service (Store formats, Checkout innovations, Ordering & Delivery evolution, Logistics, Environmentally friendly/ smart shops, Payment Methods, Digital Touch Points).

3. Innovative services and products (Steam Wash & more sustainable solutions that are following the trends of future vehicles, Car Care, Energy Saving materials and processes, Energy Production, Noise Levels & Illumination incorporated in local environment, Smart recycle bins, Water treatment & water consumption reduction, Customer carbon footprint, Green Certificate)
