TRACK AND TRACE

One of the biggest innovations and successes of KONVA related to traceability is track and trace your fish . Created by KONVA to give the consumer a clear picture about the profile of the fish they consume. This initiative is yet another innovation of KONVA that is being progressively applied in the effort to ensure food quality. KONVA has identified the need to protect fish stocks in the Aegean Sea against overfishing and is leading the way by creating a system for monitoring and recording the course of the fish we eat from catch to our plate.

The general public

The track and trace initiative has been launched in 2018. The relevant webpage has been included on the company's blog and a 5-digit code has been printed on all product packages.

Anyone interested in learning more about the fish they have chosen can easily and quickly do so by visiting www.tratagreece.gr. More specifically, there is a 5-digit code on each Trata package. By going to https://www.tratagreece.gr/track-and-trace/ and entering this code, the consumer is given the opportunity to learn the history of the fish, i.e. where and how it was caught, but also to ensure that fishing vessels operate with a legal license.

The traceability service is an initiative launched by KONVA with the support of the Directorate-General for Fisheries and the company Ikonwhow.

All the departments of the company

The Aegean Sea and the 20 countries in the EU, Asia and Canada where TRATA products are exported.

KONVA’s initiative contributes to:

1. achieving full transparency throughout the supply chain
2. protecting the Aegean Sea and its marine wealth from overfishing
3. ensuring the quality of the company's products
4. ensuring the nutritional quality of consumers’ food

By implementing the traceability service, KONVA embraces its vision to establish a corporate social responsibility profile with respect for people and the environment in which it operates. It protects its raw material from overfishing and ensures the general public as far as the quality of its products is concerned.
