The Municipality of Grevena is a municipality of the Region to Western Macedonia which is established in 2011 by merging the preexisting Ventziou municipalities of Grevena, Gorgiani, Irakleoton, Th. Ziakas, Kosmas Aetolian and communities of Avdellas, Dotsiko, Mesolouri, Perivoli, Samarina, Smixi, Filippaioi.

Objective Action

Pan-Hellenic projection of mushroom, mushroom products, mushroom art and related natural products, cultivation of mushroom culture and promotion of a key tourist advantage for the Grevena region.

 

Target Audience

To all citizens, producers and growers of mushroom and plant products.

Description

The 14th Panhellenic Mushroom Festival included:

Seminars of mushroom-eating and mushroom-cooking
Organized excursion to the forest
Exhibition of mushroom and other local products
Concerts

Impact on Society

About 3,500 spectators visited the festival, exhibited their products around 40 local producers and there were guests from abroad (mainly Balkan countries).

Employees of the Cleaning Department, Technical Services, the Department of Green and Financial Departments.
