Recently, there is significant research interest in tackling the various environmental problems with the associated findings of empirical applications and their policy implications. We offer a publication opportunity for a research paper of the special issue entitled "Computational Aspects of Sustainability" published by the official journal of the Society for Computational Economics, Computational Economics (by Springer).

The aim of this special issue is to consider the economic growth and the environmental dispute in terms of the most updated and advanced methods applied in various modeling techniques together with the use of better and larger data sets.

The main purpose of the special issue is to feature the computational practice of green policy performance measurement. Computing the progress of the green economy includes topics such as indicators and measures to characterize environmental sustainability, methodological issues in order to indicate and present spatiotemporal patterns of resource use and pollution, computational frameworks for comparisons of environmental management among economies / economic sectors / socio-economic systems, computational techniques to define(design) the structure, dynamics and change in ecosystems. Results are discussed in support of green policies. The expected outcome should set targets, propose computable models for green growth, analyze policy interactions with quantitative methods, and perform cost/benefit analysis based on economic-ecological transformations.

This issue seeks the computational framework to contribute to green policy development, provide policy initiatives targeted at socio-economic goods/benefits, capture sustainability obstacles and negative environmental impacts, and highlight links and interactions between economic and ecological systems
