DODONI was founded in Ioannina over half a century ago. At that time it was a small fresh milk pasteurization unit, which exclusively served the needs of the residents of the city of Ioannina, collecting cow's milk from small farms in the area.

Today, half a century later, DODONI is one of the leading dairy companies in Greece and the leading company in PDO feta sales in Greece.



Objective Action


DODONI is one of the most well-known food companies in Greece, as it produces 100% quality dairy - and not only - products, which stand out both for their pure ingredients and their taste.

At the same time, it is also a model company, as realizing the difficult economic situation that prevails in our country, it consistently implements actions of a community nature, with the aim of alleviating socially vulnerable groups.

The fundamental purpose of the action is the management and distribution of DODONI products, which are suitable for consumption, and after a relevant registration of needs, are offered free of charge to charities and institutions throughout Greece.

Description

Having the largest milk zone in Greece, DODONI has for over 10 years been supporting the Epirus region, the Greek primary sector and the broader society through responsible actions and sustainable initiatives.

Being one of the largest companies in the region of Epirus, DODONI consistently supports the wider society and the local community through actions and initiatives of a social and voluntary nature, which aim at social contribution.

Thus, it has created a continuous social program "The Taste of Good", which focuses on practical help to individuals and groups in need. Putting people firmly at the center, the company has made significant donations over the last 10 years, offering pure dairy products that exceed 100 tons.

This year, the company decided to proceed with the production of 10.5 tons of DODONI Yogurt Strained light 2% so that it can be made available to operators operating in Epirus, Attica, Xanthi & Drama as well as in the Argosaronic and Northern Aegean Islands, contributing to improving the quality of life of our fellow human beings, even in the most remote places.

Thus, recognizing the enormous need to support our fellow human beings who are affected, the company practically supported the important work of the Region of Epirus and many more institutions and non-profit organizations, through BOROUME, UNESCO Piraeus, the Diocese of Thebes and the Archdiocese of Athens , making the Strained Yogurt Light 2% available to schools, hospitals, nursing homes so that they reach people who need them the most.

The products were transported by company trucks following all safety standards, to the intended facilities, placed in appropriate boxes and temperatures. Afterwards, with the help of volunteers and/or employees of each organization, they were counted and stored safely so that they could be offered decently and in the appropriate conditions.

However, DODONI's practical support does not stop there as it continues unabated to support with dairy products institutions, hospitals, public and private organizations that stand by vulnerable social groups, while it supplies on a daily basis the KDAP of the Diocese of Ioannina, parishes as well as the nursing home and orphanage of the Durachani monastery.
