The OTE Group invests in the culture of volunteerism through the participation of employees in actions and programs with a social purpose, who at the same time act as ambassadors of these initiatives for the company.

Impact on Society

Voluntary Blood Donation Program: in 2018, more than 1,500 employees participated voluntarily and 2,770 bottles were collected for the OTE Group blood bank. The program has been implemented for more than 40 consecutive years and serves both the employees of the OTE Group and the needs of Greek society. For the past two years, employees have also had the opportunity to become Bone Marrow Donors.

Sports events: the participation of employees for a good cause, in important sports events, such as the Athens & Thessaloniki Marathons, which have been organized for more than 10 years, give them the opportunity to contribute to the work of important organizations that care for children. A total of 1,400 employees participated in marathons in 2018.

Charity Bazaar: In 2018, 2,800 employees supported the Christmas and Easter Charity Bazaar to support the work of 13 NGOs.

Special actions: utilization of the facilities of NGOs for children, by organizational units of the company for the organization of corporate meetings and at the same time the offer of voluntary work

Initiative Location

Employee volunteering at the charity bazaar organized by the respective organization takes place at the facilities designated by the organization. The Christmas and Easter bazaars are supported in two of the large buildings of the OTE Group in Maroussi and Paiana.
