Main action icludeι:

Β. Raising Awareness for residents and entities
C. Monitoring and evaluation - know how for implementation in other municipalities
The municipality of Sparta supports the project by commiting for the collection of the recyclables from the 11 green points, transportation to MRFs and providing the data for the monitoring and evaluation of the project. Furthemore, the municipality is willing to expand the program to othe remaining schools of primary and secondary education.
Through the project, a methodology has been developed to inform, raise awareness and activate students and citizens on issues of circular economy and proper waste management, as the lack of awareness is the main issue for the low recycling rates in Greece.
It is also very important to develop a very good working relationship between the Municipality and non-profit organizations such as NoWaste21 since the municipality of Sparta has no similar partnerships, and through the project
The Municipality and the staff of the Municipality respond with particular satisfaction to the requirements and increased needs for the collection of recyclable materials in separate streams, due to the awareness and information that has preceded the project.
