Objective Action
The development of this specific action aims to solve the problem of counseling support and similar sessions which, as a project, is a permanent activity of the organization for addicts and members of their families, who live in various parts of Greece but also abroad, but due to the distance they are not they can engage in face-to-face physical communication with counselors and members of the organization for one-on-one physical communication.
The problem has worsened dramatically, with the epidemic that has spread worldwide and confinement has created a terribly negative family environment and serious psychological problems for all people.
Those who had an addiction in these conditions got worse and those who didn't, if they don't get help, living in these conditions, they will try to relieve themselves by using substances-alcohol. food abuse, addictive behaviors in sex and internet addiction.
Since the beginning of last year, the organization has adapted to the new data, setting up an online digital platform, where, using PC cameras and interactive analog software, it brings in real time the interested addict or his family member with experts and with members of "OASIS" so as to respond to desperate requests for help.
The innovation of the effort lies in the fact that direct contact is made in real time at a pan-Hellenic level - but also with Greeks abroad in order to deal with the problems of addiction and toxic behaviors in a timely manner.
At the same time, our presence is particularly frequent and intense in the media and social media, with a huge promotion of the "OASIS" project (80 interviews on TV and radio and daily posts on the three profiles (F/B, and on Instagram).
Target Audience
In its 19 years of operation, "OASIS" has supported approximately 10,000 people throughout the country and has become a point of reference in the field of addiction, having introduced the 12-step treatment method in Greece, following the model of "Alcoholics Anonymous". The target groups that benefit from the organization's activities are:
-Addicted to drugs and alcohol.
-Gambling addicts.
- Addicted to cannabis and psychotropic drugs.
- Internet addicts (Gaming-Social media)
- Addicted to legally administered substances - anxiolytics-sedatives).
-Overeating-bulimics-anorexics
- People with addictive behavior in interpersonal relationships, (love & sex addiction)
- Codependents, (parents, partners, children, friends).
Duration
The specific action developed by "OASIS" makes the most of cutting edge technologies and is expected to create such added value that acting together with the classic forms of counseling and therapeutic interventions will not only maintain the social benefits of the actions us, but will also work cumulatively in the direction of increasing the social footprint for the benefit of addicts and their families, completing the organization's contribution to the common goal of the UN declaration which is "GOOD HEALTH AND WELFARE"

Counseling guidance and support by phone and via skype and zoom throughout Greece and to Greeks abroad.
Comprehensive coverage of a large part of the country to the general population with speeches, seminars, street-work and personal contacts through teleconference platforms.
Production of printed informational and audio-visual material (12 videos, 5 spots and 3 half-hour informative broadcasts of information and information
3 jobs have already been created with the use of 3 new PCs that use state-of-the-art technology such as cameras, microphones and related software. Impact on Society
The process of evaluating the action's intervention and its contribution to society as a whole, takes place at a specific point in time (interim and ex post evaluation) and focuses on whether the goals have been fulfilled and the intended results have been achieved, as well as the impact on the future operation of the of organization and in the content of its structure and coherence as well as the positive contribution of the specific action to social becoming..
All prescribed scientific methods and procedures are used with the use of questionnaires and indicators to draw conclusions.
The internal evaluation of our actions results from the processing of the data of the addicts derived on the basis of the principles of privacy and confidentiality and is obtained only through numerical data.
The meetings of the executives of the specific action are held every 15 days with meetings, where each executive in charge of the specific tasks of the program develops the quantitative and qualitative account of the actions, the number of people (beneficiaries) who were served by creating ties between the beneficiaries and the staff of the center, as well as the consequent impact of the actions at the local and national level.
Initiative Location
The action is developed at the headquarters of the organization in Thessaloniki, but its scope may gradually expand to the entire Greek territory and, as we mentioned above, also abroad where there are Greeks in the diaspora.

Workers Participation
3 new jobs have been created, which are handled by consultants-members of "OASIS" with the use of 3 new PCs with state-of-the-art cameras, microphones and similar software. These positions are also supported by volunteers who are ex-addicts who remain sober and their participation in this initiative helps them to stay "clean" and now derive the joy of creative work, as well as by final year university students of of psychology and social workers practicing in the "OASIS" area

Benefits for Οrganization
From the operation of the above action, "OASIS" will add one more powerful tool to the arsenal it has developed in its 20 years of operation to combat any type of addiction and which it practices traditionally and with classical methods of counseling and support.
It is now entering the electronic online counseling process and this will bring people together, maximize the already known and recognized "social footprint" in society
The innovation of the effort lies in the fact of networking on a pan-Hellenic level and will be connected to self-help groups that have now developed throughout the Greek territory. The provision of counseling by the group of "OASIS" members will maximize its positive and constructive intervention over time and scope as it will include addicts and their family members from all over the country and abroad.
Thus the organization will be a "matrix of self-help groups", for all kinds of addiction and in family groups that will be interconnected with other voluntary groups and organizations.
The action aims to have a permanent duration and occupy the organization throughout its life so that its added value together with the classic forms of counseling and therapeutic interventions will not only maintain the social benefits of our actions, but will also work cumulatively in the direction of increasing our social footprint, for the benefit of addicts and their families by fulfilling common global goals.
The app is already running successfully since last year and the results are very encouraging measurable and very worthwhile.
And the advent of the covid-19 pandemic has significantly strengthened the provision of these specific digital counseling services to addicts and their family members, with the result that we can say that sometimes the provision of our services online becomes the daily "one way"
