The "Social Solidarity & Relief Network" has been active since the first day of its establishment, in 2013, with the aim of establishing strong foundations for the consolidation of Social Solidarity standards.

It is an urban non-profit corporation, which was established in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility actions, in order to become the bridge of communication between businesses and society, to encourage businesses to support individuals, groups, charities, organizations and related bodies and to offer materials goods and/or services.

The ambitious plan and the sacred purpose that the "Network" is called to carry out brought together in its ranks the most important business entities of Thessaloniki, with the sole aim of undertaking the implementation of a venture that has not been repeated anywhere in our country to date. The ultimate goal is to bridge the business world with society, offering substantial help and long-term benefits to vulnerable groups and individuals facing problems within society.

The most important business entities of Thessaloniki joined forces and founded the Network of Social Solidarity and Assistance. They undertook a project that has not been implemented as it is, anywhere in our country to date. They joined forces to establish the first non-profit corporation that will bridge the business world with society. These bodies are the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki (ΕΒΘ), the Chamber of Commerce of Thessaloniki (CCT), the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki (PCT), the Association of Greek Industries (AGI), the Exporters' Association (EA) and the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce (TCC) ).



Objective Action

The aim of the cooperation between the Network and TAP is the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility actions. A very important development organization, such as TAP, has decided to trust the Network to implement support programs for vulnerable social groups.

The collaboration between the Network and TAP is a practical recognition of the Network's contribution to the social events of Northern Greece.

The network's cooperation with TAP began in 2016, with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation


Description

The Network proceeded to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with TAP in 2016, in order to contribute to the organization's Social and Environmental Investments program. Since then, he has undertaken the control and collection of all supporting documents for the benefiting agencies. For the implementation of the various CSR programs, the Network communicates with institutions and agencies, records, collects and categorizes their needs. He then contacts the various suppliers, conducts market research and after a series of approvals implements the purchase. Finally, the Network immediately informs the sponsor about the progress of their donation and sends letters of thanks and photos of the actions, as they were completed. TAP invested through the Network in CSR programs in the regions of Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, through which the pipeline has passed.

Through this collaboration, more than 45 bodies - institutions have benefited and approximately €1,500,000 have been spent in donations.
