To reduce the raw materials used in the production of glass containers.

All customers - beverage companies in the soft drinks and alcohol sectors. The end consumers (meaning all people who consume beverages sold by our customers) are also part of the target audience.

We have heavily invested in the infrastructure of our glass manufacturing plants in order to enable the manufacturing of lightweight bottles. A lightweight bottle uses approximately 15% less glass than a standard bottle, fact which translates directly to a reduction of raw materials used in the production process. At the same time, we also increase the use of cullet (scraps of broken glass used instead of raw material) to further reduce the use of raw materials.

In 2013, lightweight bottles accounted for approximately 25% of all bottles manufactured and is expected to be above 45% in 2014.
By reducing the use of raw materials we minimize our impact on the environment which in turn benefits society as a whole.
