Eco Park Center of the Earth promotes and act towards:
• The protection of the natural environment and reinforcing of local biodiversity.
• The implementation of education for sustainable development.
• The involvement and participation of society in harmonious activities with nature.
Everybody can visit and attend the actions of the Center of the Earth. There are activities and educational programmes for students, families, tourists and everybody who wants to make a different and unusual activity at the city, being very close to nature.
2013 -
The Center of the Earth is a beautiful park, 25 acres in the heart of Athens in Ilion, where Organization Earth created various exhibits such as a small insect museum, a wild Attic ecosystem, an organic vegetable garden and a composting area. Furthermore, the existing infrastructure within the Estate of Queen has been redevelopped in order to encourage and raise awareness of the Sustainable Development principles, in everyday life. At the same time, the Center of the Earth offers a green space in the city where visitors can develop recreational activities with educational content.
35.000 students have attended the educational programmes and 8.000 visitors have attended the Organization Earth's actions on Sundays, while, in addition, more than 200 volunteers and visitors have attended and participated in several other activities and seminars.
