Based on the principles of the circular economy and aiming to strengthen the access of young citizens to information and technology, Accenture has been implementing the Accenture Hardware Donation Program for a decade.

Description

As part of the "Accenture Hardware Donation Program" initiative, Accenture Greece upgrades laptops, as well as other technological equipment - such as printers, servers, tablets - used by company employees, which it then donates to schools and organizations.

Impact on Society

As an example, it is worth mentioning that in the last decade, Accenture has completed the donation of 1,150 laptops to more than 260 schools in 311 different locations throughout the country, mainly in remote areas of mainland and island Greece.

The program in question was strengthened even more in the last two years, as a result of the pandemic, facilitating the access of many students to distance education and was combined with additional actions (donations of tablets, lessons from company executives in the context of the "Week of Code", etc.).
