Objective Action

bwin, always responsible and a pioneer in matters of Social Responsibility, took the initiative to inform and raise awareness of the Greek society, with a long-term campaign, regarding the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, established by the UN. until 2030.

 

Target Audience

Social groups dealing with sustainability, social and individual responsibility, Civil Society Organizations, workers in the wider private and public sector, social partners and local government.

 

Duration

From September 2021 until today.


Description

In the context of actions and initiatives, regarding social responsibility and sustainable development, bwin presented the first campaign to inform and raise awareness of society, for the value and importance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, established by the UN. until 2030.

The purpose of the information campaign, which started a few days (September 25, 2021) before the completion of 6 years from the date - milestone, of the announcement of the specific program by the UN, is the indirect or direct inclusion of these Goals in the intense everyday life of society and the their adoption in practice by an increasing number of citizens and agencies.

Recognizing the importance of the implementation of the Goals, for the creation of a better, more sustainable and more human everyday life, bwin makes it a priority to spread this very important message through a series of actions and actions, with the aim of informing and mobilizing the society.

The special information and awareness campaign, envisioned and produced by bwin, stars 18 personalities from the social and sports community, as well as Executives from the bwin Greek team.

In more detail, the representatives of Foundations and NGOs participate in the campaign with pride and respect, Alexandra Martinou (President of the Association "Together for the Children"), Dafni Oikonomou (President of the Society for the Protection of Spastics / Open Door), Tasos Marianos (Director General of ELEPAP), Sandra Zafirakopoulou (General Manager of Make-A-Wish Make a Wish Greece), Eugenia Thanou (General Manager of Doctors of the World Greece), Alexandros Theodoridis (Co-Founder & Administrator of NGO "We Can"), Sotiris Petropoulos (Co-Founder of HIGGS), the athletes of KAE Olympiacos , Giorgos Printezis, Sasha Vezenkov, Shaquille McKissick, the Olympic champion, Evangelia Plataniotis (synchronized swimming), the champions, Evelina Papazoglou (synchronized swimming) and Dora Gountoura (fencing), the journalists, Michalis Tsochos, Dimitris Sambrakos, as well as the presenter George s Lentzas .

Presenting messages full of inspiration, motivation and guidance, they responsibly promote the defining value of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, through the "documentary" short film, created by bwin people to convey the message of sustainability to every corner of the country .

In this context, all bwin's social responsibility initiatives are fully aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

After all, it was a self-evident commitment of bwin, when it decided to include the Goals in its program, to disseminate and adopt them by the largest possible number of "recipients".

The common "goal" remains one! To change daily habits, to realize that our actions today affect the future of our children tomorrow and to all try together to "hand over" to the next generations a planet more sustainable than the one we "received".

bwin's communication was based on these axes, and based on the response of the public, it is judged - apart from absolutely necessary - to be successful.
