The Municipality of Grevena is a municipality of the Region to Western Macedonia which is established in 2011 by merging the preexisting Ventziou municipalities of Grevena, Gorgiani, Irakleoton, Th. Ziakas, Kosmas Aetolian and communities of Avdellas, Dotsiko, Mesolouri, Perivoli, Samarina, Smixi, Filippaioi.

Objective Action

European Mobility Week is trying to improve public health and quality of life through promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban transport. The campaign gives people the change to explore the role of city streets and to experiment with practical solutions to tackle urban challenges, such as air polution.

Description

During the European Mobility Week, people of different age groups will have the opportunity to engage in diverse actions that will help them understand the message of the event. Indicatively, some of them are: cycling, walking excursions to monuments of natural beauty in the Grevena region, traffic training classes from the Traffic Police and running in the woods.

In this work, the Municipality of Grevena collaborated with the Grevena Traffic Police, the Health Runners, the Association of Cyclists of Grevena, the Hellenic Antiquities Directorate,
Relief Rescue Team Grevena and the Forestry Directorate of Grevena.
