Objective Action

In Coca-Cola 3E, we believe that the youth of Greece are the motive power for the country’s re-ignition. This is the reason why we support young people and continue to implement the Graduate Trainee program for 2 decades, now. We believe that the youth of Greece has enough fresh ideas, talent and passion and therefore, we encourage their thirst for knowledge, offering all the needed tools to build their future with us. Graduate Trainee Program, is being implemented for the last 25 years and adresses mainly the audience of young graduates, who begin their professional path. Through the program, these young people have the opportunity to initiate their career in the company, develop their talents and their skills and evolve into the next leaders of the company.

Description

All graduates follow a structured induction programme and acquire an all rounded view of our company’s operations. The programme includes on-the-job assignments for each function. A sales assignment is mandatory for all functions. Performance is monitored regularly and determine their professional development within the company. The participants of «Graduate Trainee Program» have the opportunity to pass over from theory to professional action. From the very first day of the program and through an integrated induction process they are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge into actual market conditions, live the company’s values and adapt to every aspect of the company’s activity.

In this frame, and having all the necessary ammunition and the support of the whole organization, they take over the strategic design of siginificant projects in their field of interest. They, also, present these projects as a complete plan before a team of top executives, taking back concrete feedback for their performance. The evaluation of their work along with their presentation skills will define their professional development.

Steps:

• Comprehensive Induction process: company’s general induction, detailed functional presentations, detailed presentation on our Corporate Social Responsibility, visits to our plants, our suppliers, our advertising companies, Sales Assignment (field sales).
• Networking within the company. For this step each trainee is assigned to a ”Buddy”, who operates as friend to the new comer and guides him/her in cultural issues and on the ways of working.
• Rotational Projects within function, during which the trainee collaborated with the manager of the Project owner from the respective function.
• Project presentation to a high-level team of professionals from his/her function. The performance on the project, as well as the performance on the presentation is assessed and define final placement.
• Based on performance appraisal and company needs, graduates are placed at targeted positions within functions.

During the program the Learning and Development Manager, who is the gatekeeper of the program, operates as a mentor for the trainees, guiding them in development areas and in issues of professional behavior.

The program initiated in 1990. Up intil 2014, 175 people participated from which 50% has undertaken high-ranking positions within the company and in Coca-Cola HBC Group

Workers Participation

All employees during the program have the responsibility to welcome the new trainees and collaborate with them, while explaining an guiding them when needed Moreover, some employees are chosen as buddies guiding the participants during the program. Last but not least a large number of employees are chosen to represent the company in the Assesement Center - during which the final participants are chosen - having the responsibility th present the operation of their function.
