Hellenic Cables recognizes its suppliers and subcontractors as partners who contribute to the production/delivery of high quality competitive products and services through the supply of high quality raw and auxiliary materials and services. For the company, the integrated and responsible management of the supply chain is a critical factor for the efficient transport and distribution of its products and services to end users. On this basis, all Hellenic Cables companies evaluate their partners with criteria of quality and corporate responsibility, while making efforts to promote good practices and raise awareness among their suppliers and employees about sustainable development, while promoting the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility throughout their supply chain.

In order to effectively address environmental and social challenges, sustainability must be placed at the forefront of the supply chain. For this reason, a sustainable supply chain commitment is at the heart of Hellenic Cables' newly established ESG roadmap and is critical to achieving the company's decarbonisation goals.

All suppliers must meet specific objective and measurable quality criteria, combined with the observance of certified Quality Assurance Systems. The Company proceeds with an evaluation of its main suppliers, while, in particular for new suppliers, in addition to the necessary supporting documents of the Management Systems that they should provide, they also complete a relevant evaluation questionnaire. In the context of the evaluation carried out, the observance of Environmental Management Systems according to ISO 14001:2015, Management of Health and Safety at work based on ISO 45001:2018 or OHSAS 18001:2007, Energy Management according to ISO 50001:2018, as well as a Safety Management System Information by ISO

27001:2013, is evaluated positively for suppliers who implement them. In addition, on-site inspections are carried out at selected important suppliers of raw materials, while if problems are found in their performance that cannot be dealt with, a review of their acceptance is foreseen. Positively evaluated suppliers are re-evaluated if there is no cooperation for a period longer than three years.

The Company further evaluates its suppliers in terms of their compliance with the European Union Directives on the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS), the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemical products (REACH), minerals from war zones (conflict minerals ) and other environmental, health and safety issues. In the event that compliance is not evident, the supplier is excluded.

2021 was a year of particular importance for Hellenic Cables. In the context of the corporate commitment to sustainability and based on the recent ESG roadmap, the Company placed special emphasis on the responsibility commitment of its supply chain.

Recognizing the importance of supply chain responsibility, Hellenic Cables has initiated a systematic assessment of specific categories of its suppliers through the EcoVadis platform, the leading provider of business sustainability assessments. The aim is to evaluate them in matters of responsible entrepreneurship, based on the policies they have, the procedures they apply, as well as the relevant results. The Company intends to extend the aforementioned assessment to all of its suppliers, integrating it into its supply chain practices and continuing the process on an annual basis.

Demonstrating the organization's corporate commitment and setting an example for its suppliers, the Company underwent an evaluation itself, through the EcoVadis platform, receiving the Silver distinction for the business practices it follows in the pillars of sustainable development. According to the 2021 EcoVadis Sustainability rating system, Hellenic Cables is among the 25% of the best evaluated companies.
