EDRA supporting the quality of life and the rehabilitation/integration process of disadvantaged individuals being at risk of social exclusion, as well as programs for the prevention & the sensitization of the community around mental health problems and the promotion of mental health in general.

The program aims at supporting population affected or threatened by poverty and social exclusion, through a network providing social services in the Municipality of Ilion.
Specifically it aims at:
Socially vulnerable groups in the Municipality of Ilion, such as Unemployed, homeless, destitute and Uninsured, low pensioners etc. that are experiencing or are at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

The “Social Structures for Immediate Social Intervention against Poverty“ Program, implemented in Ilion Municipality, functions through the collaboration of K.S.D.E.O. “EDRA” and Ilion Municipality, for the support of people who are in a condition of poverty or are threatened by it, as well as socially vulnerable members of society, such as homeless, indigent, uninsured, persons with special needs, single parent families, etc. The program consists part of the National Network for Immediate Social Intervention, which aims to fight against poverty and its repercussions that have become very obvious in our country over the past years.
The above-mentioned program comprises of 5 social structures:
The products are offered with the support of the Social Service of the Municipality of Ilion, and also by humanitarian donations of the local community and sensitized companies and branches that constantly support the action of "Ilion-Support" program.
At the same time, the social workers of the structures provide psychosocial support and information services (Sessions) to the beneficiaries on issues that concern them.
For the most effective information and stimulation of the target group and the general public in the Municipality of Ilion, a variety of events and networking activities, and also awareness-raising and promotional activities have been held (charities, voluntary actions by entities within CSR policy, information campaigns and seminars etc.). For the supporting of the above, in-house sponsorship teams, event planning and marketing teams have been created etc.
The operation of the program for the period 2013 to 8th 9th 2015 joined the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development" Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, financed by the European Social Fund and National Resources under the "NSRF 2007-2013". Since October 2015 it has been included in the Regional Operational Programme "Attica" 2014 - 2020.
Since the beginning of the program to date, Social Structures have served approximately 2.800 people (including direct and indirect beneficiaries-protected members, occasionally served people etc.).
The Social Grocery has allocated approximately 98,000 products. Soup Kitchen 72.500 servings, the Social Pharmacy 6.400 medicines, while the Time Bank disposed 12.300 TEM.
Overall, the social workers of the structures held 2.500 sessions with beneficiaries (individual, couple, family and career).

The K.S.D.E.O. "EDRA" gained considerable expertise in the implementation of humanitarian actions. Moreover, the initiative was able to further strengthen its profile as a body that implements actions involving vulnerable social groups.
As an example might be considered the participation of “EDRA” as one of the ten Greek organisations that participated in the survey conducted by the program “Social Value - Measuring Social Return on Investment" organized by the Equal Society.
Specifically, the research evaluated the social value produced by the Social Pharmacy of Social Structures in Ilion Municipality for the period May 2014 - May 2015 and calculated the produced social value of the action. According to the SROI method that was used, for every EUR 1 invested in Social Pharmacy for the specific period, 1.26 euro social value produced.
