GIVMED is a non-profit organization aiming at facilitating access to medicines for all. You may easily and quickly donate the medicines you no longer need to social pharmacies, nursing homes and other public benefit entities.
1. The satisfaction of the pharmaceutical needs of specific nursing homes in Attica, which due to financial difficulties find it difficult to meet the pharmaceutical needs of their beneficiaries. Through the program we are creating an easy and fast way for nursing homes to find the medicines they need free of charge, through GIVMED's existing network with non-profit organizations, private individuals, pharmaceutical companies and through the network of nursing homes that will be created. We also facilitate the better organization of their pharmacies and the more efficient management of their available medicines. 2. The awareness and activation of the general public, so that they are informed about the existence, the pharmaceutical needs of the nursing homes in their area and to satisfy them, having the opportunity to come into direct contact with the beneficiaries of the nursing homes. In particular, they are activated to use the software provided by GIVMED, in order to easily, quickly and reliably donate the drugs they no longer need to the nursing homes participating in the program.
1. The eight hundred and nine hundred current beneficiaries of nursing homes. 2. The eighteen-twenty-seven personnel of the geriatric units who were trained in the use of the software. 3. The future tenants of the nursing homes, since the software will remain and be used by the cooperating nursing homes after the end of the program. 4. The four hundred citizens who will be informed about the pharmaceutical needs of the nursing homes in their area.

The program is implemented by the following interrelated actions: 1. Renewal and updating of nursing home registration in Attica 2. Close collaboration with interested nursing homes 3. Analysis and recording of the needs of nursing home pharmacies 4. Software development and configuration 5. Staff training in the use of the software 6. Recording the pharmaceutical needs and drugs of the nursing homes 7. Trial period of the software 8. Adaptation of software based on the trial period 9. Support of nursing homes for 6 months 10. Organization of information campaign in Attica 11. Project report event
The project team has planned the above actions based on its experience in cooperation with nursing homes and communication with its mentors who have implemented corresponding programs.
1.Completion of cooperation with 15 geriatric units that serve a total of 815 elderly people and easily use the "GIVMED for NGOs" software on a frequent basis.
2. Staff training in the use of the software.
3. To date, 2,399 boxes of medicines worth €20,752 have been donated

The program is implemented with the funding of TIMA Public Benefit Foundation.
Three employees participate in the following positions:
1. Expansion of the network of agencies in the GIVMED software.
2. Adaptation of the software in order to better support the geriatric units.
