Power sharing
Power sharing, sometimes referred to as load balancing or load balancing, allows the grid operator or businesses/apartment buildings with multiple installed chargers to distribute the available power of their installation proportionally to all electric vehicles charging at the same time. Since available power is limited in any facility, requiring more power than available on a frequent basis results in costly upgrades to electrical infrastructure. However, with power sharing the power can be optimally distributed to each installation in order to avoid such upgrades.
Power boost
Power Boost, also known as peak shaving, is a smart charging feature that prevents the user from exceeding the maximum available power of their installation. Reaching or exceeding the maximum available power is preferably avoided, as it entails additional charges from the energy provider for the use of excess electricity than planned. Power Boost helps to avoid similar situations by dynamically balancing the load between the charger and the rest of the devices in the house. More specifically, when it becomes clear that the maximum available power of the installation is being approached, the intelligent charging control system automatically reduces the amount of energy consumed to charge the electric vehicle. It can even stop the charging session completely until the required amount of power is available again.
